Endpoint Central - Network Card is not installing while deploying the Image using the OS Deployer.
Issue
Observed:
The
network adapter does not work after deployment unless it is manually
unplugged and plugged back in.
Root
cause appears to be that Windows fails to detect the network adapter
during boot.
Troubleshooting
Performed:
Troubleshooting 1:
Added network adapter drivers during deployment
to rule out missing drivers.
Troubleshooting 2:
Attempted driver installation after deployment,
but the device was not detected. This led to the suspicion that a USB
Type-C chipset between the motherboard and the network adapter might
require additional drivers.
Troubleshooting 3:
Added the model-specific driver package as a
driver application, but the installer failed even with silent
installation.
Troubleshooting 4:
Included a complete set of USB, network,
keyboard, and mouse drivers in the driver repository. The issue still
persisted.
Troubleshooting 5:
Forced a reboot after deployment in case device
detection was delayed. The network adapter still did not appear.
Troubleshooting 6:
We imaged a device with a pre-installed Windows
OS, applied all Windows updates, and installed required drivers. After
creating a new image from this machine and deploying it, the network
adapter issue was resolved after the first restart.
